COVID-19 Update – July 8th, Wednesday

We had only one new case over the past week (young adult) while we cleared 7 individuals out of isolation. The township’s total number of positive COVID-19 cases stands at 203, out of which 155 individuals are cleared out of isolation. Thanks to everyone following the guidelines, the number of new cases continues to trend low. The trend in neighboring towns in Mercer county is similar. As we continue our return to normalcy, we should follow the guidelines to keep the number of new cases to a minimum.

Thanks to township clerk Gay Huber, yesterday’s primary election went on without a hitch in spite of ever-changing guidelines from the state. In honor of the election, here is a picture of a ballot box that was used in the early days of West Windsor elections. The box needed three keys to open. I wonder why the keys are of different sizes? Perhaps Paul Ligeti can comment on political fights over who got which key to open the box.

Have a wonderful week and stay safe.
