Bus Driver – Senior Center
West Windsor Township is seeking a Bus Driver for the Township Senior Center. Under direction of the Manager of Senior and Social Services, the Bus Driver operates and maintains the Township Senior Bus. Transports participants to and from Senior Center, scheduled trips, medical appointments, and local shopping, making special trips as required. Prepares reports and keeps records. Maintains a log of mileage and performs routine visual bus inspections. Ensures bus is properly maintained, serviced, and in good working order at all times. Picks up supplies for senior programs as needed. Provides staff assistance in emergency situations. Coordinates scheduling for the Senior Transportation Program. Assists the Division of Senior and Social Services with routine tasks as required.
Qualifications:  High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years experience as a licensed operator of a motor vehicle. Possession of a valid State of NJ Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in good standing with passenger endorsement. Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Salary: $17.64 - $27.96/hour

Secretary I – Community Development
West Windsor Township is seeking a Secretary I in the Department of Community Development. Under the supervision of the Construction Official, the Secretary I will assist in the code enforcement process as outlined in the Uniform Construction Code. Answers telephones, schedules inspections, reviews applications for completeness with checklists. Interacts with public and office personnel. Updates a database with new applications, permits, certificates, and inspections. Collects permit, violation, and sewer lateral fees. Creates correspondence and documents using Microsoft Word and Excel. Maintains department files, including scanning of documents into Township databases. Manages stressful situations in a professional manner.
Qualifications:  High school diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years of secretarial/clerical experience with excellent customer service skills. Must have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Must be detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills.
Salary: $43,421

Laborer (Parks) – Public Works
West Windsor Township is seeking a Laborer for the Division of Facilities and Open Spaces in the West Windsor Township Department of Public Works. Under the direction of the Crew Chief, this position performs various types of manual and unskilled labor related to the upkeep and maintenance of Township property. Loads and unloads trucks with or without assistance. Cuts grass with small riding mowers and walk-behind mowers. Uses weed whackers, edgers, blowers, and hedge trimmers. Prunes, cuts, trash pick-up, and raking. Performs manual tasks of maintenance of road sides, parks, ball fields, and grounds owned by the Township. Maintains Township vehicles and equipment. Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:  High school diploma or equivalent. Possession of a valid New Jersey driver’s license in good standing. One year experience in the performance of labor work preferred.
Salary: $40,369 - $59,468

Part Time – Registered Environmental Health Specialist – up to 21 hours per week
West Windsor Township is seeking a part time Registered Environmental Health Specialist. Under the direction of the Township Health Officer and/or Manager of Environmental Health Services, responsible for conducting inspections as well as the compilation of proper records of inspections, the collection of evidence of violations to responsible parties; under direction, performs the sanitary inspection work involved in the enforcement of relevant public health laws within the jurisdictional coverage area of West Windsor Township Health Department; related duties as required.
Qualifications: Licensure as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist issued by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services. Valid New Jersey driver’s license.
Salary: $34.16/hour

Seasonal Pool Manager – Recreation
West Windsor Township is seeking two (2) highly motivated and experienced individuals to fill the position of Pool Manager at the West Windsor WaterWorks Family Aquatic Center. Position requires overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring the safety of all pool guests, maintain proper water chemistry levels in accordance with health department regulations and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Must be available from May 1, 2025 through September 1, 2025.
Required certifications include: American Red Cross Lifeguard Management, CPR, First Aid, and Certified Pool Operator.
Salary: $7,000 to $10,000 depending on experience.

Electrical Inspector
West Windsor Township is seeking a full time Electrical Inspector in the Code Enforcement Division. Under the direction of the Electrical Subcode Official and the Construction Official, the Electrical Inspector reviews permit applications and/or inspects all structures for compliance with the Electrical Subcode in relationship to Construction Permits issued. Reviews plans and specifications for electrical work consistent with the Uniform Construction Code and conformity with the same. Inspects relevant work for conformance with the Uniform Construction Code. Prepares reports relating to assigned duties. Provides recommendations for temporary and final Certificates of Occupancy. Establishes and maintains records and files, including photographs as necessary. May give assignments and instructions to employees and may supervise the performance of their work. Required to learn and utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and computerized information systems used by the agency/office. Working knowledge of SDL software a plus.
Qualifications:
 Valid license as an Electrical Inspector of the appropriate level, High-rise and Hazardous (HHS) or Residential/Industrial and Commercial (RCS/ICS), issued by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. SDL experience preferred.
Salary Range: $81,593 - $107,909

Engineering Technician
West Windsor Township is seeking an Engineering Technician. Under the supervision of the Director of Community Development, assists in the performance of public infrastructure projects, including project definition, design, and coordination with consultants and contractors. Maintains Township GIS and CAD systems. Responsible for grant applications and permit compliance. Assist with design, bidding and award, and construction phases of municipal capital projects. Review and comment upon engineering aspects of residential and commercial land development applications for compliance with municipal codes. Review aspects of comments and testimony at Technical Review Committee and Planning Board meetings as required. Monitor construction phase of land development projects including inspections, punch lists, guarantee action recommendations.
Qualifications:  Two-year degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology program. Three years technical experience performing engineering support tasks in the planning, surveying, design, inspection, investigation, and/or maintenance of various types of engineering projects. Valid New Jersey driver’s license.
Salary: $72,005 - $97,920

Crossing Guard – up to 25 hours per week
West Windsor Township is seeking a Crossing Guard to regulate traffic and direct school children to and from school safely at designated crossing points. Must have the ability to communicate specific instructions clearly, firmly, and courteously. Must possess the ability to recognize potentially dangerous traffic situations and warn and manage students in sufficient time to avoid injury. Shifts are approximately 1 hour: 7:10 am to 7:45 am; 8:35 am to 9:05 am; 11:20 am to 11:50 am; 12:15 pm to 12:45 pm; 2:40 pm to 3:05 pm; 3:05 pm to 3:35 pm. Times are subject to change on ½ day school schedules and early dismissals. Times vary according to school. Will only cover school posts while school is in session, this position is off for all school holidays and Winter, Spring, and Summer breaks. All work is performed outdoors regardless of weather.
Qualifications: Good physical condition and mental alertness. Must successfully pass a thorough criminal history and background check as well as applicable classroom and on the job training.
Salary: $23.75/hour
