COVID-19 Update – June 24th, Wednesday
Over the past week we recorded 3 new positive cases of COVID-19 while we cleared two individuals out of isolation. Our total number of COVID-19 cases now stands at 195 out of which 120 individuals are cleared out of isolation. Two of the three new cases are younger adults in their early 20s while the third is an individual in early 60s. None of the cases were a result of testing at the community park on Saturday.
We tested a total of 358 individuals at the Community Park between Saturday and Tuesday. We are still waiting comprehensive results from FEMA as our health office can only access results that are from towns for which we are responsible (West Windsor, Robbinsville and Hightstown). On Saturday we had 106 individuals from these towns out of which 90 have been reported as negative. We are still awaiting results for the remaining 16 and the 200 who tested on Tuesday. Thanks to all who participated in testing and apologies to those who could not be accommodated since we ran out of test kits.
Today I am including two pictures. One is by YoungJin Choi showing flowers in full bloom reminding us to enjoy the summer. The second is by Anuja Gupta of Van Nest park, a beautiful yet relatively unknown park in West Windsor.
My next update will be next Wednesday July 1st. I will certainly report any significant development, if any, before that.
Enjoy the summer and stay safe.
