COVID-19 Update – May 5th, 2020 – Tuesday night

We reported only one new case while 5 additional people were cleared from isolation. That brings the total number of positive COVID-19 cases and those who are cleared to 153 and 69, respectively. The township continues the favorable trend over the last few days. The trend in our neighboring towns also appears to be similar. This is a result of following the guidelines. It is important that we continue that practice.

As I mentioned a few days ago, we have put nets back on the tennis and pickle ball courts. In the next few days, we are going to take the doors off all ball fields and courts so people will not have to touch the handle. The fields and courts are for singles use only. Please use the sporting facilities responsibly so we continue the trend of declining cases.

We have seeded the dog park a week ago. We will figure out a way of safely opening it in another two weeks (or sooner) once the grass takes hold.

Today’s pictures are appropriately of the Sun breaking out submitted by Graelynn McKnown and Sameer Desai.

Please stay safe and have a wonderful Wednesday.
