COVID-19 Update – Wednesday May 27th
We continue our trend by reporting three positive cases in the last two days (1 on Tuesday and 2 today). This brings our total positive COVID-19 cases to 173. We have cleared 11 additional people out of isolation bringing the total individuals who are no longer symptomatic and cleared from isolation to 103.
On a sad note, over the course of this outbreak, we have lost 28 residents due to Covid-19 related illnesses. The individuals’ ages ranged from 74 to over 100 years of age.
We reported our first case of COVID-19 on March 19th. Between March 19 through May 25, 2020 the age breakdown for those who tested positive is as follows:
6% of cases are under 14 years of age; 15.4% of cases are between 15 to 34 years of age; 25.3% of cases are 35 to 54 years of age; 26.6% cases are 55 to 74 years of age; and 32.1% of cases are over the age of 74. 64.1% of the cases are females and 35.9 are males. 4.9% are healthcare professionals.
A number of you have asked about total number of negative tests conducted in West Windsor. Due to the way the data is reported it take a lot of manual effort to generate that number. The state is working on an easier way to get that number. I am hopeful I will be able to report that number in near future.

Stay safe.
