COVID-19 Update – May 21st, 2020 - Thursday

We continue our trend with two new cases today while one additional individual was cleared out of isolation. Our total number of cases is 169, out of which 92 individuals have recovered. Although I don’t report on Mercer county cases daily, I do follow them every day. Even the county is showing slow and steady progress with new cases. The daily county-wide new cases are now down in the double digits from triple digits only a few days ago. As the economy is re-opened, adhering to guidelines will help keep the new cases manageable.

Today was the day for high school seniors to pick up their caps and gowns for graduation. Although traditional graduation will not be held in the Sun Bank arena, the district is planning various graduation activities. I want to give a shout out to all parents and school district staff that made the day memorable for the students. Kudos to all students who are handling the disappointment of missing senior year activities with aplomb.

Enjoy a beautify Friday. Stay safe.
