COVID-19 Update – Sunday April 26th, 2020 - Sunday night
As we start another week after a gloomy Sunday, we did not have any positive test results returned today. Thus, our count for number of individuals testing positive for COVID-19 stays at 135. Those cleared and out of isolation remains at 54.
A few of you have asked about cases in senior long-term care facilities. The facilities took the precaution to lock down a few weeks ago. The infections are due to health care workers at the facility. Due to their age and mental condition it’s difficult to get the residents to keep their mask on and to stay in their rooms. That makes contentment especially challenging. All facilities are working with our health care professionals and testing both residents and workers. There are examples of individuals from these facilities who have recovered.
