COVID-19 Update – March 5th, 2021 (Friday)

During the past week we had 11 new Covid cases in West Windsor. This brings the total number of cases to 1005; crossing into four digits in less than a year after reporting our first case.

COVID-19 Cases Reported in West Windsor Residents - 1005

Recent Activity    11
(February 27th through March 5th, 2021 (4:00 pm))

With increasing number of vaccinations, the number of cases has dropped somewhat from the previous week. However, the majority of the population still needs to be vaccinated. Moreover, being vaccinated is not a guarantee that you will not catch the virus. Please continue to follow all precautions and do your part in reducing the spread.

The two-pronged vaccination efforts continue. A West Windsor resident can schedule an appointment at either the Cure Arena in Trenton or Mercer County Community College if you have received a scheduling link from the state. Alternately the township continues to vaccinate people by age based on our limited number of slots every week. Today for the first-time the township received a limited quantity of J & J vaccine for people who are homebound and have major mobility issues. We are not expecting another J & J supply for four weeks.

The state will allow vaccinating teachers starting March 15th. I am working with the school district, county and state to allow us to hold a local clinic for school employees. I am optimistic the state will allow such local clinics in addition to our slots at the Mercer County college.

If you are on the township list and get vaccinated through other means (NJVSS, CVS, RWJ, Princeton Hospital etc.) please send an email with your name and address to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  That will allow us to update our list and work efficiently to get to people who need to be vaccinated.

Thanks to Curtis Hoberman for today’s picture of community park. It shows what awaits us in a few weeks’ time, if we get ourselves vaccinated and continue to follow precautions. I am hopeful that all those fields will be in use this summer.

Have a great weekend. Stay safe.
