Draft Mercer County Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP) is available for Public Comment
The goal of the Mercer County Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP) is to save lives and property by reducing our vulnerability to hazards. The HMP is a document required by state and federal agencies in order for communities like ours to be eligible for funding for projects that reduce our hazard risk. In preparing this document, county and local leaders have worked together to identify risks, assess capabilities, and formulate strategies to reduce our vulnerability to various types of hazards and disasters.
The Draft Mercer County Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP) is now available and ready for your review. Comments on it will be accepted by the County until 9/22/2021.
