Washington Road is open in both directions.

The closure of Washington Road at the Bridge over Little Bear Brook for emergency repairs is being extended through to Thursday, October 15, 2020, weather permitting.   The road remains open to local traffic only. Enter from US 1 for homes and businesses west of the bridge, including the tennis center. Enter from 571/Route 64 bridge for homes and businesses on the east side of the bridge. Plan an alternate route for through traffic as there will be no access over the bridge during this extended closure.

The closure of Washington Road at the Bridge over Little Bear Brook is being extended through this week for more extensive repairs to the sewer system and roadway on the east side of the bridge in this location.

The road remains open to local traffic only. Enter from US 1 for homes and businesses west of the bridge, including the tennis center. Enter from 571/Route 64 bridge for homes and businesses on the east side of the bridge. Plan an alternate route for through traffic as there will be no access over the bridge during this extended closure.

On Saturday October 3rd starting at approximately 10:00AM Washington Road will close from US Route 1 east to the Route 64 Bridge in both directions for emergency repairs to the sanitary sewer system [map link]. The repairs are expected to take approximately 5 hours, but may be extended, as necessary. The road will fully reopen to traffic upon completion. Please plan an alternate route as there will be no access through this area during the closure.

Additional repairs are expected to occur on or about Wednesday, October 7th, and will be the subject of a separate announcement.
