Global Warming Presentation
Mayor Shing-Fu Hsueh announced that Dana Isherwood, a resident of West Windsor, will present a program on global warming at the Township Municipal Building on June 28, 2007.
Ms. Isherwood recently completed a rigorous training program led by former Vice President Al Gore to spread the message about the threat of and solutions to global warming. “Dana Isherwood is an outstanding example of the millions of Americans who have been energized by the call to action on the climate crisis,” said Gore. “We are so pleased that she has made a serious commitment to this challenge by coming to Nashville to become part of this unprecedented grassroots effort.”
Dana Isherwood was part of a select group of individuals chosen to receive this important training April 9-11, 2007. Each trainee took part in an intensive tutorial about issues surrounding global warming, led by Gore and a team of renowned scientist and environmental educators. In addition, each received technical training to become experienced presenters of a version of Gore’s computer-based slide show, which became the basis of his best-selling book and documentary film, “An Inconvenient Truth.”
“Dana Isherwood will be spending the next year making presentations in and around West Windsor, discussing how individuals and businesses, schools, and other organizations can be a major part of the solution to the growing crisis of global warming,” continued Gore.
The presentation called “The Global Climate Crisis” will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 28 in Council Room “A” at the West Windsor Municipal Building, 271 Clarksville Road, West Windsor. For additional information residents can contact the Mayor’s Office at (609) 799-2400.
