Free Income Tax Assistance Offered for Seniors

The Mayor is pleased to announce The Income Tax Assistance Program sponsored by the West Windsor Senior Center.  The assistance is free and available for older adults, in the surrounding, area who have lower and moderate income.

AARP volunteers, who are expertly trained and certified, will assist in the preparation of the federal and state income tax returns, free of charge.  They are familiar with tax regulations and rebate programs that affect the older adult.

The qualifying individuals will need to bring copies of their 2006 federal and state income tax returns as well as the 2007 information necessary to complete the 2007 tax returns (W-2 and 1099 income forms, property tax bills, itemized deductions; such as, medical bills and charitable contributions).  

The Income Tax Assistance Program will be available at the West Windsor Senior Center, 271 Clarksville Road, West Windsor  on Tuesday mornings from 9 AM – 1 PM starting February 5, 2008 through April 8, 2008.  Appointments can be scheduled by calling the Senior Center, (609)799-9068.
