West Windsor Township Redevelopment Area Attracts Seventeen Proposals
Mayor Shing-Fu Hsueh announced that seventeen (17) firms responded to the recent Request for Qualifications and Proposals (RFQ/Ps) for the designated Area in Need of Redevelopment which includes the Princeton Junction at West Windsor Train Station. The RFQ/P was issued on March 29, 2006 and responses were due on May 30, 2006. A general information meeting held April 21, 2006 was attended by approximately forty-four (44) firms interested in the project.
The RFQ/P Search Committee consists of Chair Mayor Hsueh, Council Members Franc Gambatese and Heidi Kleinman, Planning Board Members Marvin Gardner and Steve Jany, Township Engineer Jim Parvesse, and Land Use Division Manager Sam Surtees. Former Council Member Kristin Appelget, Township Attorney Michael Herbert, and Planning Board Consultant John Madden serve as Advisors. Mayor Hsueh explained, “The RFQ/P Search Committee will review the seventeen (17) proposals and recommend several finalists. Each finalist will then be required to prepare a formal presentation to be given during an open public meeting (or meetings if necessary) this fall.”
The list of seventeen (17) firms that responded to the RFQ/P includes: A. Nelessen Associates; Burgis Associates, Inc.; FXFOWLE Architects, PC; HDR; Heyer, Gruel & Associates; Hillier Architecture; LandDesign; Looney Ricks Kiss; Melvin/Kernan; Michael Graves & Associates; Pfeiffer Partners New York; RTKL; Skidmore, Owings & Merrill Architects PA; Street-Works LLC; Torti Gallas and Partners Inc.; Wallace Roberts & Todd LLC; and Zyscovich with Cody Eckert & Associates PA.
