West Windsor Township Receives $220,000 Grant

West Windsor, N.J.  -- West Windsor Mayor Shing-Fu Hsueh announced today that the Township has received a grant in the amount of $220,000.00 from the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s Fiscal Year 2009 Municipal Aid Program.

The letter from NJDOT Commissioner James Simpson states that each year the program becomes more popular and competitive statewide. This year it received 677 applications totaling more than $246 million for the $78.75 million available funds from the Transportation Trust Fund (TTF).

The township sought the grant funds for the Roszel Road Resurfacing project.

Mayor Hsueh stated, “This grant is another example of the ongoing cooperation between the Township and the State for the improvement of our local transportation network. We will continue to participate in all available programs to improve and protect West Windsor as well as save taxpayers money.”
