Mercer County announces that Cranbury Road will be fully closed for the Replacement of Cranbury Road Bridge over Bear Brook (County Bridge 762.1) Project, starting on or about Monday, August 21st, weather permitting.
Beginning on or about Monday, August 21st, weather permitting, work will occur with the ROAD FULLY CLOSED to through traffic, between Princeton-Hightstown Road (CR 571) and Millstone Road, 24 hours a day. No traffic of any kind will be permitted to use the bridge once closed. This includes all non-motorized traffic, such as pedestrians and cyclists. The remainder of road will remain open to local traffic only and resident services (waste collection, mail, etc.). Please plan accordingly. Delays are to be expected, particularly during peak hours.
Traffic will be detoured using Clarksville Road and Princeton-Hightstown Road (map). Mercer County will be activating the new traffic signal at the intersection of Clarksville Road and Cranbury Road at this time. Total project completion is expected to take 270 days, weather permitting.
