Channel Changes
Effective March 27, 2008, Comcast will make the following changes to its channel lineup:
- SportsNet NY will be added to channel 198†
- A&E HD will be added to channel 211†
- HGTV HD will be added to channel 213†
- Food Network HD will be added to channel 216†
- History Channel HD will be added to channel 217†
- USA HD will be added to channel 222†
- Discovery HD will be added to channel 224†
- Sci-Fi HD will be added to channel 226†
- Animal Planet HD will be added to channel 230†
- ESPN Classic will be added to the Sports Entertainment Package on channel 265*
- C-SPAN2 will be added to channel 104*
†These channels can only be viewed with a HD converter and a high definition television set.
*These channels can only be viewed with a digital converter.
The analog channels Cartoon Network, AMC, and History Channel will remain viewable with a digital converter in their current locations and will also be shown on channels 126, 138, and 117 respectively. WCBS will move to channel 256. Comcast is offering digital converters for as little as $1.00 more per month.
C-SPAN will move to channel 22 and WPHL (My Network) to channel 9. NFL Network HD and WWOR (My Network) will no longer be available.
